When Bad Bunny<\/a> took over the Super Bowl halftime show<\/a> on Sunday, it wasn\u2019t his first time on the halftime stage.<\/p>\n

Back in 2020, Bunny joined Shakira<\/a> during her co-headlining halftime show with Jennifer Lopez<\/a>, performing Cardi B\u2019s \u201cI Like It\u201d alongside Shak, as well as a mash-up of his song \u201cCalla\u00edta\u201d with her \u201cChantaje.\u201d J Balvin also made a guest appearance at the 2020 show, performing his songs \u201cQue Calor\u201d and \u201cMi Gente\u201d mashed up with Lopez\u2019s \u201cBooty,\u201d \u201cEl Anillo\u201d and \u201cLove Don\u2019t Cost a Thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show also featured a repeat performer: Kendrick Lamar<\/a> \u2014 who had top billing at February 2025\u2019s Super Bowl halftime at New Orleans\u2019 Caesars Superdome \u2014 joined his mentor Dr. Dre (along with Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Mary J. Blige) at the then-brand-new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, for the first full-fledged hip-hop halftime show. He pulled out two solo songs \u2014 \u201cm.A.A.d city\u201d from his 2012 sophomore album good kid, m.A.A.d city<\/em> and \u201cAlright\u201d from 2015\u2019s To Pimp a Butterfly<\/em> \u2014 and also joined the group for \u201cForgot About Dre\u201d and \u201cStill D.R.E.\u201d His 2025 solo headlining set marked the second hip-hop halftime.<\/p>\n

But Bad Bunny and Lamar are hardly the first performers to return to the halftime stage. In fact, two have even played the big game three<\/em> times at this point.<\/p>\n
