Leading bass producer Subtronics<\/a> is the latest artist calling for a leadership change at the Wasserman agency amid growing fallout from founder and CEO Casey Wasserman\u2018<\/strong>s connection to child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Epstein\u2019s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who\u2019s now serving a 20-year prison sentence on sex trafficking convictions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to address the ongoing situation at Wasserman,\u201d the artist born Jesse Kardon, whose been signed to Wasserman for years, wrote in an Instagram story posted Wednesday (Feb. 11). \u201cI haven\u2019t posted about this along with a lot of other artists because there are people working around the clock to navigate an absolute nightmare situation with legal complexities that could jeopardize the livelihoods of people who are not connected in any way if they move or speak too soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not stand with Casey Wasserman or his atrocious actions,\u201d the statement continues. \u201cAccountability is f\u2013king important and he should step the f\u2013k down and out of everything he is a part of. I\u2019m sad that my agent of ten years, and so many others impacted by this, are dealing with the actions of a gross CEO far above them. They deserve autonomy, clarity, and the opportunity to shape their own futures.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no intention of staying at a company affiliated with Casey Wasserman,\u201d the statement concludes. \u201cChange is necessary and it is coming. We\u2019re hoping to have a major update very very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Currently on a headlining North American tour, Subtronics is managed by Red Light. <\/p>\n

Over the last week, a growing list of artists, including Chappell Roan, Orville Peck and Dropkick Murphys have departed the agency. The fallout stems from revelations in the latest release of Epstein files by the U.S. government that Casey Wasserman maintained a flirtatious relationship with Maxwell in the early 2000s. Wasserman previously issued an apology stating that he \u201cdeeply regret[s]\u201d his communications with the convicted criminal.<\/p>\n
