The romantic tunes cover every era of the Hot 100\u2019s history, ranging from 1958\u2019s \u201cTo Know Him Is to Love Him\u201d by the Teddy Bears to 2019\u2019s \u201cSomeone You Loved\u201d by Lewis Capaldi. Love is a many splendored and many faceted thing, and this list has all types of love songs: tunes about \u201cThe Power of Love\u201d (Huey Lewis), \u201cThe Greatest Love of All\u201d (Whitney Houston), eternal love (Donna Lewis\u2019 \u201cI Love You Always Forever\u201d) and NSFW lovin\u2019 (Madonna\u2019s \u201cJustify My Love\u201d).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto lrv-a-font-body-m \"> It\u2019s sonic proof that while musical fads and fashions will change with every generation, love \u2014 and the songs inspired by it \u2014 will never go out of style. Songs that are clearly about a non-romantic love have not been included in this tally. Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at lower spots earning the least.
