Taylor Swift<\/a> is congratulating Olympic skier Breezy Johnson on getting engaged to Connor Watkins after playing a small part in the couple\u2019s love story.<\/p>\n

On Thursday (Feb. 12), the pop superstar commented a sweet message on the athlete\u2019s engagement announcement on Instagram<\/a>, which featured a photo of Watkins proposing to Johnson at the finish line of the 2026 women\u2019s Super-G race. The gold medalist also included a snap of her new engagement band and its wooden ring box, on which her new fianc\u00e9 had a line from Swift\u2019s song \u201cThe Alchemy\u201d \u2014 \u201cHonestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?\u201d \u2014 engraved. <\/p>\n

The 14-time Grammy winner matched the vibe by quoting more lyrics from the Tortured Poets Department <\/em>track in the replies. \u201c\u2019Where\u2019s the trophy? He just comes running over to me,’\u201d Swift wrote. \u201cCONGRATULATIONS!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s downhill competition took place on Feb. 8 in Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo, Italy as part of the ongoing 2026 Winter Games. Johnson took home the gold for Team USA, after which she wrote in her engagement post, \u201cHey guys\u2026 meet Connor! My ex boyfriend! And current fianc\u00e9!!! Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible. It was everything I ever dreamed of. Kind of like Connor!\u201d <\/p>\n

Swift \u2014 who, of course, is also an engaged woman, with fianc\u00e9 Travis Kelce popping the question this past August \u2014 is a documented fan of the Olympics<\/a>. Earlier in February, a video she filmed <\/a>of herself wishing the athletes luck aired during NBC\u2019s opening ceremony for the Games.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting to learn your stories, and seeing everything you sacrificed and all your determination and hard work and passion \u2026 it\u2019s just really inspiring,\u201d she said in the video. \u201cI am very grateful for everything you\u2019ve done to get to this point in your life and grateful that you\u2019ve brought all of us along on this journey.\u201d<\/p>\n
