(EUROPA PRESS) &#8211; <\/p>\n<p> Investigadores de la Universidad de Oulu (Finlandia) han desarrollado un m\u00e9todo basado en resonancia magn\u00e9tica ultrarr\u00e1pida que permite monitorizar de forma \u00e1gil, segura y no invasiva, sin necesidad de inyectar agentes de contraste, el mecanismo del cerebro para eliminar residuos y limpiarse durante el sue\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p> El mecanismo de limpieza del cerebro se basa en pulsaciones, ritmos corporales naturales que impulsan la sangre y el l\u00edquido cefalorraqu\u00eddeo a trav\u00e9s del cerebro. Este proceso se ve potenciado durante el sue\u00f1o, seg\u00fan estudios previos, y cuando se debilita, los desechos del cerebro comienzan a acumularse, lo que se ha relacionado con trastornos de la memoria.<\/p>\n<p> El m\u00e9todo desarrollado por el grupo de investigaci\u00f3n de neuroimagen funcional de la Universidad de Oulu permite medir directamente la circulaci\u00f3n del l\u00edquido cefalorraqu\u00eddeo mediante el seguimiento del movimiento de las mol\u00e9culas de agua. La exploraci\u00f3n dura tan solo unos cinco minutos y no requiere agentes de contraste.<\/p>\n<p> Los investigadores, que han publicado estudios al respecto en &#8216;Advanced Science&#8217; y &#8216;The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences&#8217; (PNAS), descubrieron que el comportamiento de las pulsaciones cerebrales cambia de forma notoria durante el sue\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"ladillo\">C\u00d3MO Y D\u00d3NDE MEJORA EL SUE\u00d1O LOS PROCESOS DE LIMPIEZA DEL CEREBRO<\/h2>\n<p> Los resultados obtenidos ofrecen nuevos hallazgos sobre en qu\u00e9 zonas y de qu\u00e9 forma el sue\u00f1o mejora los procesos de limpieza del cerebro. En este sentido, han revelado que la propagaci\u00f3n de las pulsaciones respiratorias y vasomotoras, ambas esenciales para la circulaci\u00f3n de fluidos que limpian el cerebro, se acelera, mientras que las pulsaciones card\u00edacas se ralentizan.<\/p>\n<p> Los investigadores creen que este cambio refleja una filtraci\u00f3n de agua m\u00e1s eficiente en el tejido cerebral, junto con una disminuci\u00f3n de las ondas del pulso arterial a medida que los vasos sangu\u00edneos se dilatan y la presi\u00f3n arterial disminuye durante el sue\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p> Asimismo, revelan un cambio en la l\u00f3gica operativa fundamental del cerebro durante el sue\u00f1o. En estado de vigilia, la actividad el\u00e9ctrica de las neuronas modula el flujo sangu\u00edneo y el movimiento de fluidos, de forma que, primero, se produce la activaci\u00f3n neuronal, seguida de un aumento del flujo sangu\u00edneo. Sin embargo, durante el sue\u00f1o, esta relaci\u00f3n ya no es estrictamente unidireccional.<\/p>\n<p> \u00abDurante el sue\u00f1o, las ondas vasomotoras en particular, pulsaciones lentas por debajo de 0,1 hercios, comienzan a influir localmente no solo en el movimiento de los fluidos, sino tambi\u00e9n en la actividad el\u00e9ctrica del cerebro\u00bb, ha explicado el profesor Vesa Kiviniemi, quien dirigi\u00f3 la investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p> Este efecto es especialmente pronunciado en las regiones posteriores del cerebro, como la corteza sensorial. Estas mismas \u00e1reas tambi\u00e9n muestran un marcado aumento del flujo de l\u00edquido a trav\u00e9s del tejido cerebral, lo que indica una mayor eliminaci\u00f3n de toxinas.<\/p>\n<p> El grupo de investigaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n ha desarrollado tecnolog\u00eda port\u00e1til que permite monitorizar la actividad el\u00e9ctrica cerebral y el flujo sangu\u00edneo durante el sue\u00f1o sin necesidad de resonancia magn\u00e9tica, con resultados que coinciden con las mediciones de resonancia magn\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p> Sabiendo que la circulaci\u00f3n del l\u00edquido cefalorraqu\u00eddeo disminuye con el envejecimiento, los investigadores est\u00e1n trabajando en formas de mejorar los mecanismos de circulaci\u00f3n y pulsaci\u00f3n de fluidos que se debilitan con la edad, con el objetivo de ralentizar estos efectos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Archivo &#8211; Chica durmiendo. &#8211; TETIANA SOARES\/ ISTOCK &#8211; Archivo MADRID 8 Abr.
