Calificaci\u00f3n WIRED: 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hay muy pocos fabricantes que realmente intentan hacer un buen tel\u00e9fono econ\u00f3mico. TECNO es uno de ellos. De forma discreta, pero con pasos firmes, ha ido ganando terreno en mercados emergentes. No reinventa la rueda, pero entiende bien lo que muchos usuarios necesitan: tel\u00e9fonos que se vean bien, no se traben y tengan buena bater\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Su nuevo dispositivo, el POVA Curve 2 5G, es su primer \u201cmonstruo de bater\u00eda\u201d. Su configuraci\u00f3n no es com\u00fan, m\u00e1s bien integra una celda de 8,000 mAh, el l\u00edmite pr\u00e1ctico de 2026, dentro de un cuerpo sorprendentemente delgado de 7.42 mm. A eso se suma un chip MediaTek Dimensity 7100, de gama media reciente, y una pantalla curva AMOLED de 144 Hz. Varias de sus especificaciones son propias de tel\u00e9fonos que cuestan el doble.<\/p>\n

Lo he usado como tel\u00e9fono personal durante las \u00faltimas semanas gracias a una unidad cedida por la marca. Esta fue mi experiencia.<\/p>\n

El POVA Curve 2 5G tiene una estetica futurista que sin duda lo diferencian del resto de ofertas.<\/p>\n

Tel\u00e9fono con m\u00fasculo, pero dependiente del soporte de la marca<\/h2>\n

El principal reto de los tel\u00e9fonos econ\u00f3micos es su rendimiento a largo plazo. Los recortes de hardware<\/em> para mantener el precio bajo dejan muy poco margen para errores. Sobre el papel, el POVA Curve 2 5G tiene potencia de sobra. La serie POVA est\u00e1 pensada para ofrecer buen desempe\u00f1o sin inflar el costo, y los 16 GB de RAM (con expansi\u00f3n virtual) deber\u00edan ser m\u00e1s que suficientes.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, el rendimiento fue irregular al inicio. El tel\u00e9fono presentaba microtirones al abrir apps<\/em> y navegar, algo inesperado para este chip. Revisando ajustes encontr\u00e9 una actualizaci\u00f3n pendiente. Tras instalarla, el comportamiento cambi\u00f3 por completo. Pas\u00f3 de sentirse torpe a funcionar casi como un gama alta.<\/p>\n

Es probable que la capa de personalizaci\u00f3n necesitaba optimizaci\u00f3n y ese ajuste lleg\u00f3 despu\u00e9s. Cuento esta experiencia personal porque me parece clave para entender este dispositivo.
