El trabajo, a\u00fan en espera de revisi\u00f3n por pares, describe a DESI\u2011HVS1 como uno de los candidatos m\u00e1s s\u00f3lidos a estrella hiperveloz encontrados hasta ahora.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfEstrella hiperveloz?<\/h2>\n<p>Las estrellas de la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea, del orden de 100,000 millones, orbitan el n\u00facleo gal\u00e1ctico a velocidades relativamente estables, entre 100 y 200 kil\u00f3metros por segundo. En ocasiones, interacciones gravitacionales extremas pueden acelerar una estrella por encima de los 500 km\/s. Si supera ese umbral, vence el tir\u00f3n gravitacional de su galaxia madre y se lanza hacia el espacio intergal\u00e1ctico, igual que un cohete que escapa de la gravedad terrestre.<\/p>\n<p>Los astr\u00f3nomos llaman a este fen\u00f3meno estrella hiperveloz. Aunque la idea existe desde finales de los a\u00f1os ochenta, solo pudimos buscar estos objetos cuando contamos con mapas precisos de posiciones y velocidades estelares. La estrella se encuentra a unos 12,300 a\u00f1os luz, tiene apenas 0.76 veces la masa del Sol y muestra una metalicidad muy baja, se\u00f1al de que se form\u00f3 en las primeras etapas del universo.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el an\u00e1lisis publicado en <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/2604.21646\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/2604.21646&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/2604.21646\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ArXiv<\/a>, DESI\u2011HVS1 viaja a unos 523 km\/s. A esa velocidad y desde su posici\u00f3n actual, la estrella se acerca al l\u00edmite necesario para escapar de la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea. El estudio estima que existe un 50% de probabilidad de que est\u00e9 realmente desatada. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de documentar que algunas estrellas huyen de nuestro vecindario estelar, el hallazgo sugiere que el agujero negro supermasivo de la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea no solo favorece la formaci\u00f3n estelar en su entorno, tambi\u00e9n puede expulsarlas. Seg\u00fan el estudio, la estrella adquiri\u00f3 su posible estado hiperveloz hace apenas 12.9 millones de a\u00f1os, un instante reciente en t\u00e9rminos c\u00f3smicos.<\/p>\n<p>Si DESI\u2011HVS1 est\u00e1 realmente en fuga, y si nada altera su trayectoria, tardar\u00eda unos 200 millones de a\u00f1os en abandonar el entorno de la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea y perderse en el espacio intergal\u00e1ctico. Es un fragmento diminuto de su vida, considerando que la estrella tiene una edad cercana a la del universo.<\/p>\n<p>La existencia de estrellas hiperveloces en nuestra galaxia obliga a replantear c\u00f3mo funciona el centro gal\u00e1ctico y qu\u00e9 tipo de estrellas pueden sobrevivir all\u00ed.
