Durante su estancia, los taikonautas a bordo investigan el desarrollo de las estructuras para verificar si la gravedad \u2014o la ausencia de esta\u2014 afecta las primeras etapas del desarrollo humano.<\/p>\n<p>Los embriones en la carga espacial no tienen la capacidad de convertirse en un individuo. Sin embargo, s\u00ed pueden servir como modelos para el estudio del desarrollo humano temprano.<\/p>\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos chinos enviaron <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wired.com\/articulos\/por-primera-vez-captan-en-video-el-momento-exacto-de-la-implantacion-de-un-embrion-humano\">embriones<\/a> que imitan fases del desarrollo de entre 12 y 21 d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de fecundaci\u00f3n. Esta es una fase cr\u00edtica, ya que alrededor de esos d\u00edas ocurre la gastrulaci\u00f3n, el proceso que organiza las capas celulares que dan origen a todos los \u00f3rganos.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con la Academia China de Ciencias (CAS), organismo del gobierno chino que dirige el experimento, los embriones llegaron a Tiangong el 11 de mayo como parte de la misi\u00f3n Tianzhou-10 y fueron cultivados durante cinco d\u00edas a bordo de la estaci\u00f3n espacial. Luego el personal los congel\u00f3 para su posterior env\u00edo a la Tierra. En peces cebra, los embriones avanzaron en etapas tempranas, pero algunos desarrollaron problemas de simetr\u00eda y formaci\u00f3n de \u00f3rganos.
