UU. impone un nuevo arancel del 25% a Brasil, que anuncia medidas de reciprocidad"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.france24.com\/media\/display\/5117e11a-4b26-11f1-b6aa-005056a90284\/w:1280\/p:16x9\/37332342-C439-4136-A126-40C86910BF4D.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/estados-unidos\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">Estados Unidos<\/a> anunci\u00f3 el mi\u00e9rcoles un nuevo arancel del 25% sobre ciertas importaciones procedentes de Brasil, cuyo gobierno repudi\u00f3 la medida y anunci\u00f3 la activaci\u00f3n de una ley de reciprocidad aprobada en 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Este gravamen, que entrar\u00e1 en vigor el 22 de julio, responde a una investigaci\u00f3n de un a\u00f1o de la Oficina del Representante Comercial de Estados Unidos (USTR) sobre las pol\u00edticas comerciales del gigante suramericano, inform\u00f3 un alto funcionario estadounidense a los periodistas.<\/p>\n<p>Una serie de productos, entre ellos <strong>la carne de res, el caf\u00e9 y ciertas piezas de aeronaves, quedar\u00e1n exentos,<\/strong> adem\u00e1s de otros bienes que Estados Unidos no produce, a\u00f1adi\u00f3 esa fuente.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote\" readability=\"8.7890625\">\n<p>\u00abLas pr\u00e1cticas comerciales desleales de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/brasil\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">Brasil<\/a> han impedido que los trabajadores y productores estadounidenses accedan a este importante mercado\u00bb, justific\u00f3 posteriormente en un comunicado el propio representante comercial estadounidense, Jamieson Greer.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00abSeguimos abiertos a continuar las negociaciones con Brasil para lograr los cambios necesarios\u00bb, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>El gobierno del presidente brasile\u00f1o, Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva, repudi\u00f3 pasada la medianoche del mi\u00e9rcoles el nuevo arancel y dijo que \u00abno reconoce la legitimidad de investigaciones sin respaldo en las reglas multilaterales de comercio\u00bb, en referencia al proceso adelantado por la USTR.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abNo hay justificaci\u00f3n para medidas unilaterales contra nuestro pa\u00eds. Seg\u00fan estad\u00edsticas del propio gobierno norteamericano, Estados Unidos acumul\u00f3 en los \u00faltimos 15 a\u00f1os 424.500 millones de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/d\u00f3lares\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">d\u00f3lares<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/super\u00e1vit\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">super\u00e1vit<\/a> de bienes y servicios con Brasil\u00bb, se lee en un comunicado compartido por el mandatario en la red social X.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">Congreso<\/a> en medio de la ofensiva arancelaria que el gobierno de Donald Trump inici\u00f3 ese a\u00f1o contra decenas de pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n<p>La presidencia brasile\u00f1a anunci\u00f3, igualmente, que \u00abretomar\u00e1 el tema en el marco del mecanismo de soluci\u00f3n de controversias de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/omc\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">OMC<\/a> (Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/comercio\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">Comercio<\/a>)\u00bb, sin dar m\u00e1s detalles.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u00abEl precio que se debe pagar\u00bb<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las pesquisas estadounidenses ya hab\u00edan determinado que ciertas pr\u00e1cticas de Brasil eran \u00abirrazonables o discriminatorias y supon\u00edan una carga o restricci\u00f3n al comercio estadounidense\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Poco despu\u00e9s de conocerse el nuevo gravamen, el secretario de Estado estadounidense, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/marco-rubio\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">Marco Rubio<\/a>, afirm\u00f3 que Lula y su gobierno \u00abno han negociado con Estados Unidos de buena fe\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLula ha antepuesto su propio ego a llegar a un acuerdo por el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/bienestar\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">bienestar<\/a> del pueblo brasile\u00f1o, y estos aranceles son el precio que debe pagar por ello\u00bb, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el jefe de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/diplomacia\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">diplomacia<\/a> en una publicaci\u00f3n en la red social X.<\/p>\n<p>Este nuevo arancel llega cuando el presidente Trump impulsa una reforma de su agenda econ\u00f3mica, despu\u00e9s de que la Corte Suprema de Estados Unidos anulara en febrero gran parte de sus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/aranceles\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">aranceles<\/a> globales.<\/p>\n<p>Funcionarios estadounidenses han propuesto nuevos grav\u00e1menes dirigidos a decenas de sus socios comerciales por sus supuestos incumplimientos a la hora de actuar contra el trabajo forzoso, seg\u00fan investigaciones del USTR.<\/p>\n<p>En el caso de Brasil, un alto funcionario estadounidense apunt\u00f3 el mi\u00e9rcoles a lo que Washington consider\u00f3 como acciones adversas en materia de comercio digital, junto con una competencia \u00abdesleal\u00bb vinculada al sistema estatal de pagos electr\u00f3nicos PIX, entre otros asuntos.<\/p>\n<p>Estados Unidos busca acceder al trato arancelario preferencial que Brasil ha otorgado a socios como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/m\u00e9xico\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">M\u00e9xico<\/a> o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/india\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">India<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien el gobierno de Trump dice no esperar represalias, advirti\u00f3 que cualquier respuesta brasile\u00f1a podr\u00eda dar lugar a contramedidas.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Tema de campa\u00f1a<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El funcionario estadounidense rechaz\u00f3 las cr\u00edticas de que las investigaciones se estuvieran utilizando con fines pol\u00edticos, en medio del apoyo de Trump al expresidente brasile\u00f1o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/jair-bolsonaro\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">Jair Bolsonaro<\/a>, rival de Lula y quien actualmente cumple una condena judicial de 27 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>En una audiencia p\u00fablica celebrada este mes por la oficina del USTR en Washington, Flavio Bolsonaro, hijo del exmandatario y candidato presidencial conservador, hab\u00eda incluso instado a Washington a no imponer nuevos aranceles.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el aspirante, estos nuevos grav\u00e1menes beneficiar\u00edan a Lula, con quien se enfrentar\u00e1 en las elecciones de octubre.<\/p>\n<p>En 2025, el Gobierno de Trump ya hab\u00eda impuesto fuertes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/es\/tag\/aranceles\/\" target=\"_self\" class=\"gtm-add-suggested-tag\">aranceles<\/a> a Brasil por el juicio por golpe de Estado contra Bolsonaro padre que culmin\u00f3 en su condena.<\/p>\n<p>Muchas de esas tasas se revirtieron tras las
