Seg\u00fan el reporte, esta empresa estatal, fundada en 2023, habr\u00eda incorporado equipos de trabajo y talento especializado procedentes de Shanghai Micro Electronics Equipment (SMEE), otra firma estatal dedicada al desarrollo y fabricaci\u00f3n de sistemas de litograf\u00eda, as\u00ed como de Shanghai Yuliangsheng Technology, una <em>startup<\/em> integrada al ecosistema privado de Huawei y SiCarrier.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo ser\u00eda fabricar cinco unidades DUV durante este a\u00f1o y aumentar la producci\u00f3n hasta 20 m\u00e1quinas en 2027. Hasta ahora se sabe que est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para fabricar chips de 28 nan\u00f3metros (nm), aunque tambi\u00e9n podr\u00edan emplear t\u00e9cnicas avanzadas de <em>multi-patterning<\/em> para producir nodos de 7 nm o incluso inferiores. Adem\u00e1s, <strong>integrar\u00edan componentes de origen mayoritariamente chino<\/strong>, aunque seguir\u00edan utilizando algunas piezas cr\u00edticas provenientes de Jap\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Estas especificaciones apuntan a un desempe\u00f1o y una calidad de fabricaci\u00f3n inferiores a los de los equipos m\u00e1s avanzados de ASML, considerada la \u00fanica empresa del mundo capaz de producir a escala comercial m\u00e1quinas de litograf\u00eda de ultravioleta extremo (EUV), una tecnolog\u00eda desarrollada para superar las limitaciones inherentes a la litograf\u00eda DUV.<\/p>\n<p>Aun as\u00ed, el avance chino fue interpretado por los mercados como una posible amenaza para el equilibrio que actualmente caracteriza a la <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wired.com\/articulos\/la-guerra-contra-iran-pone-en-peligro-el-suministro-mundial-de-chips-y-la-expansion-de-la-ia\">industria global de los semiconductores<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>El avance de China sacude los mercados<\/h2>\n<p>Desde hace varios a\u00f1os, Pa\u00edses Bajos impide a ASML exportar a China sus equipos DUV m\u00e1s avanzados. Las restricciones se endurecieron el a\u00f1o pasado con la entrada en vigor de la Ley MATCH impulsada por Estados Unidos, la cual, adem\u00e1s de limitar la comercializaci\u00f3n de estas m\u00e1quinas, tambi\u00e9n proh\u00edbe prestar servicios de mantenimiento a determinados equipos instalados en territorio chino.<\/p>\n<p>Pese a estas medidas, <strong>China contin\u00faa siendo uno de los mercados m\u00e1s importantes para ASML gracias a la venta de equipos menos sofisticados,<\/strong> utilizados para fabricar a gran escala chips destinados a autom\u00f3viles, electrodom\u00e9sticos, maquinaria industrial y una amplia variedad de productos electr\u00f3nicos.<\/p>\n<p>En este contexto, los inversionistas interpretaron el avance de China en litograf\u00eda como una posible se\u00f1al del inicio del fin de su dependencia de las m\u00e1quinas fabricadas por ASML. Esa percepci\u00f3n provoc\u00f3 una ca\u00edda de hasta 6.5% en el precio de las acciones de la empresa neerlandesa.<\/p>\n<p>El retroceso tambi\u00e9n afect\u00f3 a otras compa\u00f1\u00edas estadounidenses del sector. Los t\u00edtulos de Applied Materials, Lam Research y KLA registraron descensos de entre 4 y 7%. Estas empresas desarrollan herramientas, equipos y sistemas de inspecci\u00f3n indispensables para la producci\u00f3n de semiconductores y tambi\u00e9n dependen, en cierta medida, de la <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wired.com\/articulos\/la-enrevesada-estrategia-de-nvidia-para-vender-chips-a-china-por-fin-da-frutos\">demanda proveniente de la industria china.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>En la pr\u00e1ctica, los especialistas consideran que una reducci\u00f3n dr\u00e1stica de la dependencia china respecto de los proveedores occidentales de tecnolog\u00eda de litograf\u00eda no ocurrir\u00e1 en el corto plazo. Un an\u00e1lisis del AI Futures Project <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/blog.aifutures.org\/p\/a-forecast-of-chinese-duv-and-euv\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/blog.aifutures.org\/p\/a-forecast-of-chinese-duv-and-euv&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.aifutures.org\/p\/a-forecast-of-chinese-duv-and-euv\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">estima<\/a> que no ser\u00e1 sino hasta mediados de la d\u00e9cada de 2030 cuando China alcance la capacidad de fabricar m\u00e1quinas DUV a escala comercial y con un nivel de competitividad comparable al de los principales fabricantes internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, el inicio de la producci\u00f3n en serie de sus propias m\u00e1quinas DUV constituye el indicio m\u00e1s reciente de c\u00f3mo las restricciones impuestas por Occidente est\u00e1n acelerando la estrategia de China para desarrollar y perfeccionar alternativas nacionales.
