Santo Domingo, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana. \u2013 El Centro de Exportaci\u00f3n e Inversi\u00f3n de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana (ProDominicana) destac\u00f3 los resultados preliminares publicados por el Banco Central de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana (BCRD), seg\u00fan los cuales la inversi\u00f3n extranjera directa (IED) alcanz\u00f3 US$3,276.5 millones durante el primer semestre de 2026, un crecimiento interanual de 7.7%, equivalente a US$233.4 millones adicionales respecto al mismo per\u00edodo del a\u00f1o anterior, constituyendo el mayor monto registrado para un per\u00edodo enero-junio.
Asimismo, resalt\u00f3 que este desempe\u00f1o se produce en un contexto internacional caracterizado por una recuperaci\u00f3n desigual de los flujos globales de inversi\u00f3n y una creciente competencia entre econom\u00edas por atraer proyectos estrat\u00e9gicos, conforme al Informe sobre las Inversiones en el Mundo 2026 (World Investment Report 2026) de ONU Comercio y Desarrollo (UNCTAD).
Del total recibido durante el semestre, se destaca que US$2,194.6 millones, equivalentes al 67.0% de la IED, correspondieron a nuevos aportes de capital por parte de los inversionistas, lo que refleja la entrada de recursos adicionales para financiar nuevas inversiones y la expansi\u00f3n o fortalecimiento de operaciones existentes, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la reinversi\u00f3n de utilidades de empresas ya establecidas.
En cuanto a la composici\u00f3n sectorial, la inversi\u00f3n se concentr\u00f3 principalmente en energ\u00eda (27.8%), turismo (20.1%), desarrollo inmobiliario (12.4%) y miner\u00eda (12.4%), sectores que en conjunto captaron el 72.7% de los flujos, lo que confirma el dinamismo de los principales motores de la econom\u00eda dominicana, al tiempo que fortalece las oportunidades para continuar diversificando la atracci\u00f3n de inversiones hacia actividades de mayor valor agregado.
Finalmente, ProDominicana resalt\u00f3 que los resultados presentados por el Banco Central fortalecen las perspectivas econ\u00f3micas para el cierre de 2026. Las proyecciones oficiales estiman que la inversi\u00f3n extranjera directa superar\u00e1 los US$5,300 millones, lo que marcar\u00eda otro a\u00f1o de alto desempe\u00f1o en la captaci\u00f3n de capitales y contribuir\u00eda a que la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana registre ingresos de divisas superiores a los US$50,000 millones, impulsados adem\u00e1s por el turismo, las remesas y las exportaciones. En este \u00faltimo componente, las exportaciones alcanzaron un total de US$8,745.7 millones durante el primer semestre del a\u00f1o, con un crecimiento interanual de 16.6%, consolidando una trayectoria de crecimiento sostenido, reflejando el dinamismo y la competitividad del sector exportador dominicano y fortaleciendo las expectativas de que las exportaciones contin\u00faen desempe\u00f1ando un papel fundamental en el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
