Santiago.<\/strong>\u2013 The Best of DR, uno de los eventos m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1ticos de Revista Mercado, lleg\u00f3 por primera vez a la Regi\u00f3n Norte para reconocer a destacadas personalidades, empresas e instituciones que han contribuido al desarrollo y posicionamiento del Cibao en \u00e1reas como gastronom\u00eda, servicios, moda, deportes, entretenimiento, cultura y negocios.<\/p>\n

Con el Monumento a los H\u00e9roes de la Restauraci\u00f3n de Santiago iluminado con los colores patrios como escenario, la celebraci\u00f3n reuni\u00f3 a importantes figuras de la regi\u00f3n en una noche dedicada a reconocer la excelencia, trayectoria, innovaci\u00f3n y aportes de quienes contribuyen al crecimiento econ\u00f3mico, social y cultural del norte del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

La Regi\u00f3n Norte ocupa un lugar especial dentro del calendario editorial de Revista Mercado. Desde sus inicios en 2009, con apenas una publicaci\u00f3n anual, la edici\u00f3n regional ha evolucionado hasta alcanzar seis publicaciones bimestrales, reflejando el crecimiento, la constancia y el dinamismo que tambi\u00e9n ha experimentado el Cibao.<\/p>\n

De Moya destac\u00f3 que The Best of DR se consolida como un referente de excelencia, credibilidad y prestigio, capaz de capturar la esencia de lo mejor de la regi\u00f3n y transformarla en un relato colectivo positivo.<\/p>\n

En el marco del evento, Mercado present\u00f3 adem\u00e1s su edici\u00f3n agosto-septiembre de la Regi\u00f3n Norte, cuyo tema principal, The Best of DR, re\u00fane en cuatro categor\u00edas a establecimientos y protagonistas que diariamente demuestran que el talento, el esfuerzo y la dedicaci\u00f3n constituyen pilares fundamentales para crecer y prosperar.<\/p>\n

Durante su intervenci\u00f3n, Patricia De Moya tambi\u00e9n comparti\u00f3 la alianza editorial de Mercado Media Network con The New York Times, con el prop\u00f3sito de ofrecer contenidos globales de valor desde una perspectiva internacional. Asimismo, anunci\u00f3 que en septiembre Mercado celebrar\u00e1 el primer Mercado Business Forum en Miami, Florida, Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n

GALARDONADOS DE THE BEST OF DR REGI\u00d3N NORTE 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

En la categor\u00eda Gastronom\u00eda<\/strong>, Mar\u00eda Marte, chef de CAYENA, fue reconocida como Chef del A\u00f1o<\/strong>, mientras INDUVECA recibi\u00f3 el reconocimiento de Marca Emblem\u00e1tica Dominicana<\/strong>, representada por su vicepresidenta ejecutiva, Lil Esteva.<\/p>\n

En Shopping & Moda<\/strong>, Camila Casual recibi\u00f3 el reconocimiento de Moda Innovadora<\/strong>, representada por Alba Luz D\u00edaz, CEO, y Karla Abreu, directora de dise\u00f1o. El dise\u00f1ador Leonel Lirio fue distinguido por sus 35 a\u00f1os de trayectoria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

En la categor\u00eda Servicios<\/strong>, Carlos N\u00fa\u00f1ez, fot\u00f3grafo \u201cWatchao\u201d, fue reconocido como Artista del Lente<\/strong>; Beia Beauty Center recibi\u00f3 el galard\u00f3n Beauty & Wellness Icon<\/strong>, representado por Arleny Lantigua y Pura Mar\u00eda Hidalgo; Grupo Medrano fue reconocido como Pioneros de la Comunicaci\u00f3n Regional<\/strong>, con Olga Medrano; Casa Colonial recibi\u00f3 el reconocimiento The Best Luxury Boutique Hotel<\/strong>, representada por Roberto Casoni, vicepresidente ejecutivo de VH Hotels & Resorts; y Hodelpa Hotels fue distinguida como Cadena Hotelera Destacada<\/strong>, con Edmundo Aja, fundador y presidente del Consejo de Directores.<\/p>\n

En The Best of DR Especial<\/strong>, La Aurora recibi\u00f3 el reconocimiento Trayectoria e \u00cdcono de la Regi\u00f3n<\/strong>, representada por Daniela Le\u00f3n en nombre de Guillermo Le\u00f3n; Casa Brugal fue distinguida como Marca Ic\u00f3nica de la Regi\u00f3n<\/strong>, representada por Julissa Almonte, directora de Comunicaciones y Asuntos P\u00fablicos; mientras la Sociedad de San Vicente de Pa\u00fal recibi\u00f3 el reconocimiento por su Trayectoria Centenaria y Compromiso con el Servicio Social<\/strong>, representada por Teresita Quesada de Pastoriza y Francia \u00c1lvarez Batista.<\/p>\n

En Sports<\/strong>, Winston \u201cChilote\u201d Llenas, presidente ad vitam de las \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as Baseball Club y vicepresidente de la Liga Dominicana de B\u00e9isbol, fue reconocido por su Grandeza del Deporte<\/strong>. La atleta Liranyi Alonso recibi\u00f3 la distinci\u00f3n Nueva Estrella del Atletismo Dominicano \/ Revelaci\u00f3n del Atletismo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

En Entretenimiento & Cultura<\/strong>, PROCIGAR fue reconocido como Evento Ic\u00f3nico de la Regi\u00f3n<\/strong>, representado por Ciro Cascella, presidente, y Litto G\u00f3mez, vicepresidente. Francisco Sanch\u00eds fue distinguido por sus 30 a\u00f1os de trayectoria<\/strong> como cronista social, conductor y productor de televisi\u00f3n, mientras Fefita la Grande recibi\u00f3 un reconocimiento por sus 60 a\u00f1os de trayectoria musical<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, en The Best of the Best<\/strong>, Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza, ministro de la Presidencia, fue reconocido como Embajador del Desarrollo de la Regi\u00f3n Norte<\/strong>, mientras Mar\u00eda Amalia Le\u00f3n, presidenta de la Fundaci\u00f3n Eduardo Le\u00f3n Jimenes y directora general del Centro Le\u00f3n, recibi\u00f3 la distinci\u00f3n Referente del Arte y la Cultura<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ambos galardones fueron entregados por Patricia De Moya y Ulises Rodr\u00edguez, alcalde de Santiago.<\/p>\n

La velada concluy\u00f3 con todos los galardonados reunidos en el escenario para la tradicional fotograf\u00eda de familia, teniendo como fondo una vista privilegiada del Monumento de Santiago.<\/p>\n

The Best of DR Regi\u00f3n Norte 2026 cont\u00f3 con el respaldo de Oli\u2019s, Persio Abreu, Cibao, Nacional, Grupo SID, La Aurora, Marmotech, Brugal, Cervecer\u00eda Nacional Dominicana, Centro de Convenciones y Cultura Dominicana UTESA, Saga, Campari y VIALX.<\/p>\n
