Ante esta situaci\u00f3n, el aspirante presidencial explic\u00f3 que el pa\u00eds recibe cada a\u00f1o m\u00e1s de 73 mil millones de metros c\u00fabicos de agua de lluvia, pero aprovecha menos del 10 % de ese recurso. Se\u00f1al\u00f3 que cerca de 48 mil millones de metros c\u00fabicos se pierden por efecto de la evaporaci\u00f3n, otros 23 mil millones desembocan directamente en el mar y una parte por infiltraci\u00f3n en el suelo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En ese sentido, agreg\u00f3 que en todo el territorio nacional se han identificado 84 puntos con potencial para la construcci\u00f3n de presas y que, solo en el trayecto comprendido entre el puente Duarte y Punta Cana, los estudios se\u00f1alan 18 puntos posibles, cinco de ellos con capacidad para albergar grandes presas.<br \/>&nbsp;<br \/>Gonzalo resalt\u00f3 la importancia de la construcci\u00f3n de una presa sobre el r\u00edo Soco y el r\u00edo Chav\u00f3n, destacando la del r\u00edo Soco para impulsar la producci\u00f3n agropecuaria de la zona. Explic\u00f3 que la obra tendr\u00eda una capacidad de almacenamiento de aproximadamente 120 millones de metros c\u00fabicos de agua y permitir\u00eda irrigar unas 90 mil tareas destinadas a la producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola.
