La planta aportar\u00e1 840 megavatios al sistema el\u00e9ctrico, cerca del 15 % de la capacidad instalada nacional.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

MONTECRISTI.\u2013<\/strong> El proyecto Manzanillo Gas & Power<\/strong> alcanz\u00f3 un 66.9 % de ejecuci\u00f3n<\/strong> y mantiene prevista su entrada en operaci\u00f3n para 2028, cuando incorporar\u00e1 840 megavatios<\/strong> al Sistema El\u00e9ctrico Nacional Interconectado (SENI)<\/strong>, equivalentes a cerca del 15 % de la capacidad instalada de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana<\/strong>, inform\u00f3 el ministro de Energ\u00eda y Minas, Joel Santos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Santos realiz\u00f3 una visita a las instalaciones ubicadas en Montecristi junto a miembros del Gabinete El\u00e9ctrico<\/strong>, donde destac\u00f3 la importancia de la obra para responder al crecimiento sostenido de la demanda de energ\u00eda y fortalecer la estabilidad y confiabilidad del sistema el\u00e9ctrico nacional.<\/p>\n

Dos bloques aportar\u00e1n 840 megavatios<\/h3>\n

Manzanillo Gas & Power<\/strong> est\u00e1 compuesto por dos bloques de ciclo combinado, con una capacidad de 420 megavatios cada uno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Durante el recorrido, M\u00f3nika Infante<\/strong>, gerente general del proyecto, explic\u00f3 los avances alcanzados en las diferentes etapas de construcci\u00f3n. Detall\u00f3 que la l\u00ednea de transmisi\u00f3n ya est\u00e1 completada en 100 %<\/strong>, mientras que la instalaci\u00f3n del bloque de potencia 1 alcanza 68 %<\/strong> y el bloque 2 registra aproximadamente 64.5 %<\/strong> de ejecuci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Infante indic\u00f3 que la obra representa una inversi\u00f3n superior a US$1,700 millones<\/strong> y asegur\u00f3 que no ha sido afectada por los conflictos internacionales, por lo que mantiene el cronograma previsto.<\/p>\n

La ejecutiva tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 el respaldo recibido del Ministerio de Energ\u00eda y Minas<\/strong>, al se\u00f1alar que el seguimiento permanente de la instituci\u00f3n contribuye al ritmo de ejecuci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Como parte de los trabajos, est\u00e1 previsto que en noviembre de este a\u00f1o el buque que ser\u00e1 convertido en la FSRU<\/strong>, unidad flotante de almacenamiento y regasificaci\u00f3n de gas natural, ingrese a un astillero.<\/p>\n

En el frente mar\u00edtimo ya se ha hincado m\u00e1s del 40 % de los pilotes<\/strong>, avance considerado fundamental para habilitar las instalaciones que conectar\u00e1n el proyecto con el sistema de suministro de gas.<\/p>\n

Energ\u00eda 2000 aumentar\u00e1 124 megavatios<\/h3>\n

Tras visitar Manzanillo Gas & Power<\/strong>, Santos y la comitiva se trasladaron al proyecto Energ\u00eda 2000<\/strong>, donde actualmente opera una central en ciclo simple con capacidad de 290 megavatios<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

La planta completar\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo 28 de septiembre<\/strong> su conversi\u00f3n a ciclo combinado, con lo que elevar\u00e1 su capacidad hasta 414 megavatios<\/strong>. Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 Santos, esto representar\u00e1 un incremento de 124 megavatios<\/strong> en su aporte al sistema el\u00e9ctrico nacional.<\/p>\n

En el recorrido participaron el superintendente de Electricidad, Andr\u00e9s Astacio<\/strong>; el director ejecutivo de la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Energ\u00eda<\/strong>, Edward Veras<\/strong>; y el vicepresidente ejecutivo de la Empresa de Transmisi\u00f3n El\u00e9ctrica Dominicana<\/strong>, Alfonso Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n estuvieron Luis Mej\u00eda<\/strong>, presidente de Manzanillo Gas & Power; Arturo Santana<\/strong>, presidente de Energ\u00eda; los socios Luis Taveras<\/strong> y Guillermo Estrella<\/strong>; Felipe Vicini<\/strong> y Angie Berg\u00e9s<\/strong>, del Grupo Inicia<\/strong>; Jos\u00e9 Miguel Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> y Borja Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, del Grupo CCN Energ\u00eda de Las Am\u00e9ricas (Enerla)<\/strong>; Ren\u00e9 Grull\u00f3n<\/strong>, del Grupo Popular<\/strong>; y Gustavo Garc\u00eda<\/strong> y Lina Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, de Itabo<\/strong>, entre otros representantes vinculados al proyecto y al sector el\u00e9ctrico.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
