El combustible permanecer\u00e1 en RD$135.20 por gal\u00f3n durante la semana del 19 al 25 de septiembre, mientras el Estado destina RD$1,985.7 millones para amortiguar las alzas internacionales<\/p>\n

Santo Domingo.\u2013 En medio de las fuertes presiones que contin\u00faan afectando los mercados internacionales de energ\u00eda, el Gobierno dominicano decidi\u00f3 mantener sin variaci\u00f3n el precio del gas licuado de petr\u00f3leo (GLP), una medida que el Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes (MICM) presenta como parte de su pol\u00edtica para amortiguar el impacto de la crisis sobre los hogares y las actividades econ\u00f3micas que utilizan este combustible.<\/p>\n

Para la semana comprendida entre el 19 y el 25 de septiembre, el GLP continuar\u00e1 comercializ\u00e1ndose a RD$135.20 por gal\u00f3n, sin variaci\u00f3n respecto a la semana anterior. Para sostener ese precio, el Estado asumir\u00e1 un subsidio de RD$31.73 por cada gal\u00f3n de GLP, seg\u00fan las cifras oficiales.<\/p>\n

La decisi\u00f3n adquiere relevancia por el uso extendido del GLP en la econom\u00eda dominicana. Adem\u00e1s de ser utilizado para la preparaci\u00f3n de alimentos en los hogares, forma parte de los costos operativos de numerosos peque\u00f1os comercios y actividades de servicios, y es empleado tambi\u00e9n en segmentos del transporte.<\/p>\n

El mantenimiento del precio ocurre en un momento en que la crisis energ\u00e9tica internacional contin\u00faa presionando significativamente los costos de los combustibles. El WTI ha promediado alrededor de los US$102.44, seg\u00fan los datos utilizados por el MICM para fijar los precios locales, mientras los productos terminados han registrado incrementos todav\u00eda m\u00e1s pronunciados.<\/p>\n

El barril de gasolina premium refinada pas\u00f3 de US$91.69 a US$161.92 desde el inicio del conflicto entre Ir\u00e1n y Estados Unidos, mientras que el gasoil \u00f3ptimo aument\u00f3 de US$104.31 a m\u00e1s de US$220.58 a mediados de septiembre.<\/p>\n

Ante este escenario, el Gobierno inform\u00f3 que destinar\u00e1 RD$1,985.7 millones solamente durante esta semana para subsidiar diferentes combustibles y limitar el traslado de las alzas internacionales al mercado dom\u00e9stico. De ese esfuerzo forman parte subsidios de RD$31.73 por gal\u00f3n de GLP, RD$44.69 para la gasolina premium, RD$66.93 para la gasolina regular, RD$132.64 para el gasoil regular y RD$133.82 para el gasoil \u00f3ptimo.<\/p>\n

El esfuerzo fiscal acumulado tambi\u00e9n muestra el impacto que ha tenido la crisis internacional sobre las finanzas p\u00fablicas. El presupuesto de 2026 contemplaba originalmente poco m\u00e1s de RD$13,500 millones para amortiguar las fluctuaciones de los hidrocarburos; sin embargo, hasta septiembre el Estado hab\u00eda ejecutado m\u00e1s de RD$33,807 millones por este concepto.<\/p>\n

Aunque el periodo de congelamiento general de 90 d\u00edas establecido dentro del plan anticrisis concluy\u00f3, el MICM explic\u00f3 que se decidi\u00f3 prolongar el esfuerzo espec\u00edficamente para el GLP y el gas natural, considerados combustibles de incidencia directa sobre el consumo dom\u00e9stico y determinadas actividades productivas.<\/p>\n

De acuerdo con la explicaci\u00f3n oficial, la estrategia busca distribuir entre el Estado y los consumidores el impacto extraordinario provocado por la crisis energ\u00e9tica internacional, evitando que los movimientos registrados en los mercados externos se reflejen \u00edntegramente y de manera inmediata en los precios locales.<\/p>\n
