Mil\u00e1n, <\/span>Italia.-<\/span> La <\/strong><\/span>Direcci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/span> General de <\/strong><\/span>Pasaportes<\/strong><\/span> (DGP)<\/strong> <\/span>ampli\u00f3<\/span> <\/span>a<\/span> Italia<\/strong> <\/span>los<\/span> <\/span>servicios<\/span> del <\/span>pasaporte<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>electr\u00f3nico<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>dominican<\/strong>o<\/span> con la <\/span>incorporaci\u00f3n<\/span> de Roma y Mil\u00e1n<\/strong>, de modo <\/span>que<\/span> <\/span>elev\u00f3<\/span> a <\/span>cinco<\/strong><\/span> las<\/span> <\/span>ciudades<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>europeas<\/strong><\/span> <\/span>donde<\/span> <\/span>los<\/span> <\/span>dominicanos<\/span> <\/span>pueden<\/span> <\/span>solicitar<\/span> la <\/span>nueva<\/span> <\/span>libreta<\/span> a <\/span>trav\u00e9s<\/span> de las <\/span>representaciones<\/span> <\/span>consulares<\/span> sin <\/strong><\/span>necesidad<\/strong><\/span> de <\/strong><\/span>viajar<\/strong><\/span> a la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span>Estos<\/span> puntos se suman a Madrid, Barcelona y Sevill<\/strong>a, <\/span>en<\/span> Espa\u00f1a, <\/span>como<\/span> <\/span>parte<\/span> del <\/span>despliegue<\/span> <\/span>internacional<\/span> del <\/span>documento<\/span>, <\/span>que<\/span> <\/span>comenz\u00f3<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>en<\/strong><\/span> el <\/strong><\/span>mes<\/strong><\/span> de <\/strong><\/span>septiembre<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>en<\/strong><\/span> Nueva York, Nueva Jersey y Boston<\/strong>, <\/span>en<\/span> <\/span>Estados<\/span> Unidos. Con <\/span>estas<\/span> <\/span>incorporaciones<\/span>, el <\/strong><\/span>servicio<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>alcanza<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>un  total<\/strong><\/span> de <\/strong><\/span>ocho<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>ciudades<\/strong><\/span> del exterior.<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/strong>El <\/span>lanzamiento<\/span> <\/span>en<\/span> Mil\u00e1n <\/span>estuvo<\/span> <\/span>encabezado<\/span> <\/span>por<\/span> el director general de <\/span>Pasaportes<\/span>, Lorenzo Ram\u00edrez<\/strong>, y el <\/span>c\u00f3nsul<\/span> general <\/span>dominicano<\/span> <\/span>en<\/span> <\/span>esa<\/span> ciudad, Miguel \u00c1ngel V\u00e1squez Pe\u00f1a.<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

<\/span>\u201cPara un <\/span>dominicano<\/span> <\/span>que<\/span> <\/span>vive<\/span> <\/span>en<\/span> el exterior, <\/span>renovar<\/span> <\/span>su<\/span> <\/span>pasaporte<\/span> no <\/span>deber\u00eda<\/span> <\/span>implicar<\/span> un <\/span>viaje<\/span> a <\/span>su<\/span> <\/span>pa\u00eds<\/span>. Estamos <\/span>ampliando<\/span> el <\/span>servicio<\/span> para <\/span>que<\/span> <\/span>pueda<\/span> <\/span>obtener<\/span> el nuevo <\/span>documento<\/span> <\/span>donde<\/span> reside, a <\/span>trav\u00e9s<\/span> de <\/span>nuestros<\/span> <\/span>consulados<\/span>\u201d,<\/span><\/em> <\/span>expres\u00f3<\/span> Ram\u00edrez.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span>El <\/span>funcionario<\/span> <\/span>reiter\u00f3<\/span> <\/span>que<\/span> la <\/span>incorporaci\u00f3n<\/span> de <\/span>esta<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>nueva<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>libreta<\/strong><\/span> no <\/strong><\/span>implica<\/strong><\/span> un <\/strong><\/span>aumento<\/strong><\/span> del <\/strong><\/span>precio<\/strong><\/span> para <\/span>los<\/span> <\/span>ciudadanos<\/span> y, <\/span>adem\u00e1s<\/span>, <\/span>incluye<\/strong><\/span> el <\/strong><\/span>servicio<\/strong><\/span> de <\/strong><\/span>repatriaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/span> de <\/strong><\/span>restos<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>mortales<\/strong><\/span> con <\/span>una<\/span> <\/span>cobertura<\/span> de hasta 9,000 <\/span>d\u00f3lares<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>\u201cPara <\/span>una<\/span> familia <\/span>dominicana<\/span> <\/span>que<\/span> <\/span>pierde<\/span> a un ser <\/span>querido<\/span> fuera del <\/span>pa\u00eds<\/span>, <\/span>contar<\/span> con <\/span>este<\/span> <\/span>respaldo<\/span> <\/span>representa<\/span> <\/span>una<\/span> <\/span>ayuda<\/span> <\/span>importante<\/span> <\/span>en<\/span> un <\/span>momento<\/span> <\/span>muy<\/span> <\/span>dif\u00edcil<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>expres\u00f3<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span>En Madrid, el <\/strong><\/span>servicio<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>comenz\u00f3<\/strong><\/span> el martes 13 de <\/strong><\/span>octubre<\/strong><\/span>, con un acto <\/span>encabezado<\/span> <\/span>por<\/span> el <\/span>c\u00f3nsul<\/span> general <\/span>dominicano<\/span> <\/span>en<\/span> <\/span>esa<\/span> ciudad, Jos\u00e9 Marte Piantini<\/strong>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span>El <\/span>pasaporte<\/span> <\/span>electr\u00f3nico<\/span> <\/span>dominicano<\/span> <\/span>incorpora<\/span> <\/span>una<\/span> <\/span>p\u00e1gina<\/span> de datos <\/span>en<\/span> <\/span>policarbonato<\/span>, <\/span>grabado<\/span> <\/span>l\u00e1ser<\/span> y un chip con <\/span>informaci\u00f3n<\/span> <\/span>biom\u00e9trica<\/span> del titular. <\/span>Estos<\/span> <\/span>elementos<\/span> <\/span>refuerzan<\/span> la <\/span>seguridad<\/strong><\/span> del <\/strong><\/span>documento<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong>y <\/span>facilitan<\/span> la <\/span>verificaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/span> de <\/strong><\/span>su<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>autenticidad<\/strong><\/span>, <\/span>as\u00ed<\/span> <\/span>como<\/span> la <\/span>identidad<\/strong><\/span> de <\/strong><\/span>su<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>portador<\/strong><\/span> <\/span>durante<\/span> <\/span>los<\/span> <\/span>controles<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong><\/span>migratorios<\/strong><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
