SANTO DOMINGO. \u2013<\/strong> El Gobierno dominicano, a trav\u00e9s del Ministerio de Agricultura, entreg\u00f3 una compensaci\u00f3n de RD$111,874,992 a m\u00e1s de dos mil productores agropecuarios que sufrieron los efectos indirectos de la tormenta Melissa, que impact\u00f3 el pa\u00eds en octubre pasado.<\/p>\n

El ministro de Agricultura, Limber Cruz, explic\u00f3 que esta entrega responde a una disposici\u00f3n directa del presidente Luis Abinader, quien instruy\u00f3 brindar apoyo econ\u00f3mico inmediato a los agricultores, tras evaluar personalmente los da\u00f1os ocasionados por el fen\u00f3meno atmosf\u00e9rico.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de la compensaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica, el Gobierno puso en marcha un amplio operativo nacional que incluy\u00f3 la preparaci\u00f3n de tierras, rehabilitaci\u00f3n de caminos vecinales y distribuci\u00f3n de semillas e insumos agr\u00edcolas, con el objetivo de acelerar la recuperaci\u00f3n del sector productivo.<\/p>\n

\u201cDesde el inicio activamos un operativo integral en todo el territorio nacional, pero el presidente tambi\u00e9n quiso que los productores recibieran un apoyo econ\u00f3mico directo para que puedan recuperar sus siembras y retomar sus labores lo antes posible\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 Cruz.<\/p>\n

La medida busca garantizar la continuidad de la producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola en las 74,083 tareas de tierras afectadas y mitigar el impacto econ\u00f3mico sufrido por los productores tras el paso de la tormenta Melissa.<\/p>\n
