Esta memoria RAM limitada puede convertirse en un problema a\u00fan mayor en el futuro. MacOS no ha hecho m\u00e1s que aumentar su consumo de memoria a medida que evolucionaba, y cuanta m\u00e1s IA se incorpore a los subsistemas y al software<\/em> de fondo, mayor ser\u00e1 el problema de los 8 GB de RAM. Un buen ejemplo es Spotlight, que recientemente se ha actualizado con un mont\u00f3n de nuevas caracter\u00edsticas y ocupa alrededor de 170 MB de RAM en segundo plano en todo momento.<\/p>\n

Nuestros tests<\/em> iniciales de bater\u00eda han sido buenos. Hicimos una prueba de reproducci\u00f3n de v\u00eddeo local durante 13 horas, y solo se agot\u00f3 la bater\u00eda al 50%. Eso con la pantalla ajustada a 100 lux, que es aproximadamente el 40% del brillo total de la pantalla. Necesitar\u00e9 unos d\u00edas m\u00e1s para tener una imagen m\u00e1s completa de c\u00f3mo es la bater\u00eda y actualizar este an\u00e1lisis con los resultados.<\/p>\n

\u00bfPara qui\u00e9n es la MacBook Neo?<\/h2>\n

Puede que esto te haga preguntarte si la MacBook Neo tiene poca potencia. En general, creo que no. Llevo a\u00f1os mostr\u00e1ndome esc\u00e9ptico ante la posibilidad de que la mayor\u00eda de la gente utilice toda la potencia del \u00faltimo silicio de Apple, el MacBook Air. El M5 tiene unos gr\u00e1ficos potentes y un rendimiento de CPU de gama alta, y eso se desperdicia en gran medida en personas que operan exclusivamente a partir de un pu\u00f1ado de pesta\u00f1as del navegador. Es un grupo demogr\u00e1fico muy amplio. Si ese es tu caso, probablemente disfrutar\u00e1s utilizando la MacBook Neo y no te molestar\u00e1n sus limitaciones. Presta atenci\u00f3n a las aplicaciones que tienes abiertas y todo ir\u00e1 bien.<\/p>\n

La comparaci\u00f3n que m\u00e1s interesa a la gente es c\u00f3mo se compara con el resto de la gama de Apple. Al fin y al cabo, la MacBook Air M1 se segu\u00eda vendiendo por 650 d\u00f3lares (o incluso 600 durante las rebajas), y no eran reacondicionadas ni usadas. Pero el A18 Pro tiene un rendimiento al menos equivalente al del M1 en la mayor\u00eda de los aspectos, e incluso lo supera. Hay una serie de ventajas y desventajas entre la MacBook Air M1 y la MacBook Neo que hay que tener en cuenta m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del rendimiento, por supuesto. Tienen pantallas equivalentes, pero la MacBook Air M1 tiene mejor rendimiento de almacenamiento, puertos m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidos y un mejor trackpad<\/em>. Por su parte, la Neo tiene una webcam<\/em> de mayor resoluci\u00f3n, ocupa menos espacio y su dise\u00f1o general es m\u00e1s moderno. En general, me quedo con la Neo.<\/p>\n

Pero comprar la Neo significa que en alg\u00fan momento te frustrar\u00e1s. Puede que sea cuando intentes transferir un archivo grande desde un SSD externo, o cuando intentes usarla por la noche y no puedas ver el teclado, o cuando te canses de escribir tu contrase\u00f1a repetidamente, o cuando empujes el sistema y te encuentres con algunos tartamudeos por la falta de memoria. Ser\u00e1 algo diferente para cada quien, pero seguro que te pasa en alg\u00fan momento. Pero en ese preciso momento, tambi\u00e9n recordar\u00e1s los 500 d\u00f3lares que te has ahorrado por no comprar una MacBook Air y llegar\u00e1s a la conclusi\u00f3n de que probablemente ha valido la pena. Todo un elogio para un producto econ\u00f3mico. En \u00faltima instancia, es lo que convierte a la MacBook Neo en una de las mejores laptops<\/em> econ\u00f3micas que puedes comprar ahora mismo, a pesar de sus defectos.<\/p>\n
