SANTO DOMINGO.- La guerra en Ir\u00e1n ha provocado un fuerte incremento en los precios de los fletes y los combustibles en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, revel\u00f3 <\/span>Iv\u00e1n de Jes\u00fas Garc\u00eda, presidente de la Federaci\u00f3n Dominicana de Comerciantes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Advirti\u00f3 que las consecuencias del conflicto b\u00e9lico en el Medio Oriente no podr\u00e1n ser absorbidas por empresarios y comerciantes, por lo que tendr\u00e1n repercusiones en el consumidor final.<\/p>\n

Explic\u00f3 que <\/span>antes de la guerra, se pagaban US$2,900 por un contenedor seco de 40 pies tra\u00eddo al pa\u00eds desde Oriente. \u00abPero desde la semana pasada se increment\u00f3 a US$3,500, y para la semana que hoy se inicia, se tendr\u00e1 que pagar US$4,000 por el mismo contenedor\u00bb, subray\u00f3.<\/p>\n

\u00abA eso se suma una notificaci\u00f3n que est\u00e1n haciendo los suplidores de China, inform\u00e1ndo que a partir del mi\u00e9rcoles, las navieras van a colocar US$600 m\u00e1s por conceptos de gastos extra de combustibles porque tienen que cambiar la ruta, ya que si no pagan esos d\u00f3lares extra, no les van a embarcar la mercanc\u00eda\u00bb, indic\u00f3 De Jes\u00fas Garc\u00eda en el <\/span>programa D\u00b4AGENDA, que cada domingo se difunde por Telesistema Canal 11 y TV Quisqueya para los Estados Unidos, donde fue entrevistado por H\u00e9ctor Herrera Cabral.<\/span><\/p>\n

Agreg\u00f3 que cuando se produce un aumento de 100 o 200 d\u00f3lares, los importadores lo asumen, \u00abpero con US$1,700 es muy dif\u00edcil que los comerciantes puedan asumir ese costo tan elevado\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAl final de cuentas, hay que aplicar ese aumento a la mercanc\u00eda que nosotros vendemos a los mayoristas y a los supermercados. Eso quiere decir que el impacto de ese conflicto b\u00e9lico ya comenz\u00f3 a afectar directamente los fletes, y por ende, a los productos importados de esa parte del mundo\u201d, abund\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Record\u00f3 que en la primera semana de la guerra el flete subi\u00f3 un cinco por ciento. \u00abEs decir, inmediatamente se sintieron los efectos. Pero ya estamos hablando de costos muy elevados, y no sabemos cu\u00e1ndo va a finalizar el conflicto, porque todos tenemos la esperanza de que termine en una semana. Si es as\u00ed, no habr\u00e1 mucha preocupaci\u00f3n\u201d, declar\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aclar\u00f3 que \u00abcuando se habla de alg\u00fan conflicto b\u00e9lico en Medio Oriente, todo el mundo piensa en el petr\u00f3leo, por ser la primera fuente de energ\u00eda en el mundo, pero desconocen que el 33 por ciento del fosfato que se utiliza para fabricar el abono sale de los pa\u00edses que est\u00e1n ubicados cerca del estrecho de Ormuz\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEse producto ya subi\u00f3 un 24 por ciento, lo que implica que ese incremento afectar\u00e1 a los productores agr\u00edcolas de todo el mundo; si contin\u00faa elev\u00e1ndose, va a impactar de manera negativa a la industria alimenticia, es decir, a los productores de alimentos en todo el mundo\u201d, explic\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dijo que la gran preocupaci\u00f3n que tienen los importadores es que los incrementos de los costos, como consecuencia de la guerra en Oriente Medio, se tengan que transferir a los consumidores.<\/span><\/p>\n
