President Donald Trump<\/a> just hit a new low in the eyes of Jack White<\/a> \u2014 and that\u2019s saying something, considering the White Stripes rocker\u2019s long history of criticizing the president online.<\/p>\n

After Trump\u2019s official Truth Social account posted a since-deleted video depicting Michelle and Barack Obama as apes \u2014 a historically prominent and deeply racist trope \u2014 dancing in a jungle setting to The Tokens\u2019 \u201cThe Lion Sleeps Tonight,\u201d White shared a screenshot of the offensive clip Friday (Feb. 6) and wrote on Instagram<\/a>, \u201cThis post would basically get anyone, at any job fired immediately \u2026 except for arguably the most important position in the world.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cHow is it possible we\u2019ve given this evil man so much power?\u201d he asked. <\/p>\n

Urging the American people to \u201cindict\u201d and \u201cjail\u201d the twice-impeached POTUS, White went on to call Trump a \u201clongtime friend\u201d of convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, citing the appearance of the politician\u2019s name in the recently released Epstein files. He added, \u201cAbolish these loopholes, abolish the electoral college \u2026 that got us here in the first place and [have] failed not only Americans, but everyone else in the world who is currently suffering from our policies and suffering from the whims of this sick, deranged man who I will state again, has his tiny, bruised fingers on the nuclear launch button.\u201d <\/p>\n

Billboard <\/em>has reached out to the White House for comment.<\/p>\n

The video posted to Trump\u2019s account was reportedly up for 12 hours before it was taken down, with a White House official telling Variety<\/a> <\/em>that a staffer had \u201cerroneously\u201d shared it to Trump\u2019s account before it was taken down. Shortly after it was posted, however, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had defended the video as being \u201cfrom an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King<\/em>.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cPlease stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Americans like White see it differently. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has long been vocal in his opinion that Trump promotes racist ideology, with this being just the latest example. In 2023, White called out the politician and all of his supporters, writing on Instagram<\/a>, \u201cAnybody who \u2018normalizes\u2019 or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of s\u2013t Trump with any level of respect is also disgusting in my book.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of White\u2019s more recent callouts happened in January, after Trump mocked Rob Reiner one day after it was reported the beloved filmmaker and his wife had been murdered. \u201cTrump you disgusting, vile, egomaniac loser, child,\u201d White wrote <\/a>at the time. \u201cTo use someone\u2019s tragic death to promote your own vanity and fascist authoritarian agenda is a corrupt and narcissistic sin.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
